Part of the Australian Historic Railway Society, the Canberra Railway Museum contains a variety of exhibits and includes the yard housing - locomotives, rail motors, passenger cars, freight cars and track-maintenance vehicles. Both vintage and modern stainless steel rolling stock is on display, and visitors are able to walk through the yard to see the rolling stock either stabled in the yard and workshop.
