Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Australia is located in Canberra's scenic suburb of Yarralumla, adjacent to Lake Burley Griffin on the north, and the new parliament house on the south.
The chancellery, occupying a site of 21,628 square meters, consists of the Office Building, the Ambassador's Residence, the Staff Quarters, and the Garage, which provide a total building area of 7,000 square meters. It also has a swimming pool, a tennis court, a green house and other facilities.
Amidst the Office Building, the Ambassador's Residence and Staff Quarters lies a garden of the southern Chinese style, It embraces an ornamental lake, a covered corridor, a waterside pavilion, a hexangular pavilion, a zig-zag bridge and rockeries.
